5 Months Old

Our Sweet Sophie

WOW! Where have these 5 months have gone? I know I say that everytime I blog about one of the kids getting older, but it truly is the case! I guess I am so busy that one day turns into another and another and then BAM 5 months! 2 kids vs. 3 kids?? It was hard at first but is getting so much easier! Sophie is a lot happier now and the boys are understanding everything that I say and can really help out!

Sophie is such a sweet baby! Her smiles are just gorgeous. When she smiles, she tilts her head and looks shyly away.

As soon as you put her on her back she rolls over to her belly. She loves rolling and playing on her mat.

Rolled off her playmate and looking under the couch.

She found her feet last week! Now she plays with them all the time.

For her entertainment, she loves watching for Shepherd and Spencer. She follows them around the room with her eyes. Before we know it, she will be crawling after them. I know they are going to keep her laughing! I love her little laugh. She is very ticklish and just giggles. She loves to play pick-a-boo and cracks up with I talk into her neck.

She started eating some cereal. She is a very messy eater! She wasn't a huge fan of it at first. She is eating it better this week with a little bit of apples in it.

Daddy's girl ready for church

Loves to kick her feet! This is a video of her at her 4 month checkup. Such a sweet girl!

She has added so much to our lives! I love my little family of five!

Bible Verse?? That is correct...

We are working on the bible verse "The Lord is My Shepherd".

Spencer-"The Lord my Bubba".

Guess that makes sense to him because Shepherd is his Bubba.

LOVE IT!

Welcome to Sesame Street

We had a Sesame Street Birthday Party to celebrate my little two year olds. I had a blast making decorations and planning for the party. I love etsy and pinterest! I got so many ideas from those sites.

Decorations- I ordered chartacters and a sesame street sign off of etsy and then I made the rest.

Our front door. Kids followed Elmo's, Cookie Monster's, and Big Bird's footprints to the party.

A few pictures of Shep and Spence

Took pictures of the boys holding a S and 2.

Characters were everywhere! We also had a slideshow of pictures of the boys from birth. I could watch it over and over!

I was sad that I didn't get a final picture of the food table. We had fruit pops and jello jigglers in the shape of "S" and "2" that were not pictured.

Goodies for the kiddos
Cupcakes were a part of the decorations too. We have a good friend that made them for us. They were adorable and tasted so delicious! Shep and Spence LOVED them!

YUM!!
I love how different they are! Spencer dove right in while it took Shepherd and little longer. It was the exact opposite on their first birthday!

More Decor...

The biggest hit was the moonwalk that DeeDee gave us. We are really going to enjoy it on warm days!

Nana and Papa gave us a big Pirate water table for this summer. They are going to love playing it this summer! The boys love to play outside, so I requested outdoor toys. :)

Family! We were so bless to have most of our family with us to celebrate their party.
Nana and Papa!

We are so glad Dee Dee is retired now and can come visit!

It was such a fun weekend! Now back to reality...next on the agenda...
potty training! (EEEKKK)

2 Years Old

Happy Birthday Shepherd and Spencer!!!

Shepherd
- Momma's boy! Which I am ok with! :) I know this won't last forever, and I am enjoying it while I can!
-Loves learning and working with his ABC's. He can identify every letter of the alphabet and can count to 15.
-Can say simple sentences and is always cracking us up with something he has said
-Can tell you what the gospels are, how many books are in the bible, and say a few important words in some bible verses.
- Loves to make believe. He likes to pretend that he is eating something or feeding you or his bear something. His new thing he has started this week is gulping and then saying "Yum, so good!" Then he cracks up laughing!
-He loves to carry around his bear everywhere. He has two of them and loves to rub his bear's nose on his face. It is so precious!
-Loves his paci! We are going to get rid of it at the end of this month, and I know he will have a hard time with it!
-Loves to play with his car and planes! He pushes them all around the house making car sounds.
-Is a great helper. He loves to bring me diapers for Sophie. Likes to have things in a place. If you tell him where something goes, that is where he will like it to be!
-Loves to play with his brother. Although Shepherd may be more dominate of the two, he watches every move Spencer makes and does what Spencer does!
-Loves for you to read to him. Some of his favorite books right now are Five Little Ducks, Llama Llama, and Go Dog Go!
-His favorite tv show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but loves to watch Super Why also!
-Is easily embarrassed! Doesn't like to show off in front of people! SO even though he can say anything and speak in sentences, you may not hear him.
- Calls Spencer- Shepherd....we are working on this! But it is so cute! Guess he doesn't know that his momma is smarter than to name both of them the same!
-Loves to pray! He always thanks God for Papa's truck! :)
-Has a fantastic memory. He remembers more things than I do!

Spencer
-My sweet spirit Spencer! Spencer loves to laugh all the time. He is good natured and loves to laugh when you laugh.
- Loves to play. If he isn't climbing or playing with something, then he is looking for something to climb.
- His new thing is to get off the couch head first, and just balance on his head!
- Loves to figure out how things work.
-LOVES to watch all tv! His favorites are Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse, and Super Why.
- Spencer enjoys working with letters and can identify all the letters in the alphabets and can count to 13.
-Wants to be outside playing all the time. Runs everywhere he goes. He NEVER just walks!
-Loves anything having to do with the moon! He loves to look for the moon when we are outside and he gets so excited with you can see the moon during the daytime.
-Has great eyesight! Loves to look for airplanes and can spot them from far off!
-Loves to read any books that have airplanes or moons in them. Some of his favorite are On the Moon, Are You My Mother?, and Goodnight Moon.
-Loves to sing and is pretty good on pitch! (see an older post for a video of him singing)
-Loves his lovie and likes for me to say goodnight to his lovie at bedtime also.
-Hates nap time! I think he thinks he is missing out on something!
-Loves to pretend his basketball goal is an airplane.
-Loves to love on Sophie and is going to love making her laugh.
-Loves to pray! He always remembers to pray for everyone in our family!
-Can say the gospels (but never says Matthew), he can tell you how many books are in the Bible, and some other important facts.
-Loves wrestling with his brother!

I love how my boys are so unique! They both have so many strengths! I pray everyday that I can help them grow into strong young men with strong faith!
Two years ago I became a mommy and I am loving it!

Thank you Shepherd and Spencer for bringing so much into our lives! Your Mommy and Daddy love you very much!

Tomorrow...

Two years ago I sat here in anticipation on what the next day would bring... A long awaited meeting of my two precious twin boys! Matt and I prayed and prayed for a baby and then God blessed us with two wonderful darlings! They have added so much to our lives. They make us laugh and smile all day! They are both so full of life and love being just little boys! Tomorrow we celebrate the day our lives changed so much for the better! Tomorrow (and everyday) we praise God for the TWO blessings He gave us two years ago.
Tomorrow...Happy Birthday Shepherd and Spencer!

Lazy Days

Sophie decided to help Mommy in getting Shepherd and Spencer up from their naps. She had fun snuggling with Spencer when he first woke up.
(Look how Spencer is holding her hand!!)

Then Shepherd decided to join in!
The loves of my life!

Jump Right In

Don't most people just relax and take it easy after the holidays? Well not at the Hall household. We are busy getting ready for Shepherd and Spencer's 2 year old Sesame Street birthday party! We are having a small party with just a few friends from church over to play. We can't invite too many because our house is small and you never know what the weather will be like on an Alabama winter day! I am having so fun planning and making things for the party! I can't believe my sweet boys are two!! It seems like yesterday we were just having the Thing 1 Thing 2 party. Days sure are flying by! I love my boys!!

Happy New Year

At the beginning of 2011, I had just found out we were going to have another baby. I was very nervous and stressed trying to figure out how I was going to juggle another baby with taking care of the boys. Now as 2012 begins, I am so thankful for this little bundle of joy and excited to spend this next year enjoying every minute with my 3 kiddos!
What wonderful blessing God has given us!

Happy New Year!
