On the move...

We are so busy this weekend, but have to update since this is my "baby book"!

This week...

Shep- saying "dada", pulled up on the exersauser last night, played patty cake on Thursday, and has been playing peek-a-boo all week with his lovie. He is rolling around to get places more. I am sure he will be crawling in the next few weeks. He would rather stand up and cries until you let him pull up. Maybe he will skip to walking?? Am I ready for that?

Spence- officially crawling the army crawl. He has been scooting and rolling for a while but he is now crawling straight and fast. He says "dada" and "mama" and does not like to be alone this week. Every time he is by himself in a room, he cries until he sees someone. My sweet attached little boy!

WOW! A big week!! I am loving my growing boys!!!

Wonderful Wednesday!

We have just hung around the house today and it has been great! We have had a couple of busy weeks so it is nice to just relax!

We are practicing pulling up. We love to pull up on mom! She thinks she has her hands full, but just wait until we both want to practice walking! (Sorry I don't have a picture of that...no room for a camera)

Sometimes we try and wrestle even when we are pulling up!

Sweet Shep- has two toothies now :)

Smiley Spence- always happy!

And sometimes we fall... (Spence isn't crying because he is hurt...just mad he fell)
Shep is concern...

Then Shep thinks its funny...

Then he is making sure Spence is ok... Sweet Brothers!

And this is what I do ALL day....referee....they always want what the other has...

What a wonderful Wednesday!!

8 Month Update!

We have been so busy the past 2 weeks. I have tried to start to update, and then can never finish. We have a lot going on. We are getting ready for company over the next few weeks, I have a good friend's baby shower, supper club at our house....and lots more! I try to get most of the house work done while the boys are napping and then run errands when they are awake. QUICK errands! They love getting out and about, and are so good! It takes us longer than I would like because I always have to change at least 2 diapers when I am out, even though I change it RIGHT before we leave...never fails... :) Life with twins...double the fun...double the diapers...

The boys are at a GREAT age!! They are keeping me so busy! They both have really become vocal!! They are talking to one another and Spencer laughs at Shepherd all the time! Sometimes I think they have a contest to see who can be the loudest! Cracks me up! They really are going to be great friends!

We don't go to the doctor again till 9 months. But here are some updates...

Shepherd
-has one tooth, and one on the way
-loves to show his tooth when he laughs
- laughing (more like panting) all the time
-has hair over his ears...Daddy wants to cut it...NO WAY!
-pulls his bottle out during feeding and laughs
-thinks it is playtime after his nighttime bottle
-waves with both arms (while shaking his whole body)
-doesn't like to be on tummy for very long, will roll when HE wants to
-would rather stand than sit
-examines toys, trying to figure out how they work
-kicks his legs all the time

Spencer
-rolls and scoots anywhere he wants to go
-belly laughs at his brother
-doesn't like to nap for very long
-very attached to his paci and mommy
-sucks on his elephant's nose (his lovie)
-copies Shepherd
-waves with both arms while squealing
-smiles all the time
-gives WET kisses and plays with your hair
-shakes every toy, even the ones that don't rattle
-a little uncertain of strangers

Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks...

I love my finds at garage sales! I got these 2 swings for a $1 and we put them in the garage! The boys love them! It is going to be great when it is too cold to go outside!

ARE YOU READY???

FOR SOME AUBURN FOOTBALL????

Lets play some football!

The first football game is this Saturday. I can't wait to take Shepherd and Spencer to their first tailgate on Saturday. We will take them to at least 1 game this season, but we will wait until it gets a little cooler. We will go on campus and grill out with friends from church. I can't wait!!

Spence has got his game face on!

Ready to drive to the tail gate... I told them they were just a few days too early!

Ready to play

Hope you have a great AUBURN football weekend!

Teeth and Family make my Monday!

WE HAVE A TOOTH! So last Thursday morning I noticed a very sharp bite from Shepherd. I looked in his mouth and notice white poking up. OUR FIRST TOOTH!! It is so cute! I didn't want my boys to get teeth, because I think toothless smiles are the best. I have to admit Shep is pretty adorable with his little tooth. I tried to take a picture of it, but have not been successful. Maybe you can see a little white...

We had a great weekend. My mom's birthday was yesterday and we went up there for the weekend. We went swimming and had a lot of fun. The boys love the pool! Shep loves to splash like it is a big bath tub. Spence loves for Caroline to push him around in his float. We had a great time!

This is so much fun!!

I love Caroline to push me around!

Dad is a good swimmer!

We love Caroline!

This is the best ever!!

We love you Nana!

What makes a Monday?

So often in the past years I have dreaded Mondays...another long week till the weekend. My life has changed so much in the past 7 months. I truly believe that happiness is a choice, and it is such an easy choice with these two sweet faces that God has blessed me with! And these 2 boys MAKE my Monday!

Happy Monday!

What a Week...

Last weekend Matt and I planned our first weekend away together since our boys have been born. We were so excited and ready to have a little break. We got to Chattanooga after lunch, checked into our hotel, went to a movie, and out to eat. Then... we headed back to Birmingham. The whole time we were gone, I was in close contact with my mom. Spencer started to get a stomach virus. My poor sweet boy was so sick. I was sad that our trip wasn't able to happen, but I wanted to be there for him! We came back to Auburn, but left Shepherd with my parents. I wanted to try and keep them from both getting it. I also wanted to be able to have my full attention on taking care of Spencer. It was the first time the boys had been apart...it made me sad. Shepherd had the full attention on my mom and dad and was loving it!! Every video and picture I got of him showed him so happy! I was so glad because it was rough at our house with little Spence! Shep came back on Sunday, and Spencer is doing much better. He still isn't 100%, but we have survived our first stomach bug!

We got this push car and the boys LOVE it! It has really helped keep us sane this week. I push the car, while I pull the wagon. We go around the neighborhood a lot. We even take turns and push the car around the house. They love it!!

They don't like to stop. Here is them telling me to GET GOING!!
